Pretty useless notice to shareholders. They've said this before. Why can't they just declare the shares worthless in a straight forward simple one sentence like 'Having sold whatever we could and paid creditors with the proceeds we now declares that HST shares are worthless'?
So now you've got to look for a tax expert to help you decide whether this is it. Whether you can claim tax loss based on this statement?
I'd say save a copy of the announcement and email it to the ATO and ask them.
We still haven't heard anything from ASIC about their investigation into possible misconducts etc ... it's been one year now. Unbelievably SLOW.
