2.7 Proposed Exploration Programs

2.7.1 Flying Fox Target Area

Geologic, geochemical and geophysical surveys at the Flying Fox have demonstrated a weak hydrothermal gold mineralising event(s) associated with quartz veining, alteration and intrusive bodies. The pattern of IP chargeability and resistivity results indicates possible sulphide mineralization distributed about a barren core.

A fence of three reverse circulation percussion drill holes approximately 75 m apart and trending through Crackerjack Knob has been designed to test the altered and mineralised intrusive forming the knob and the zone of high chargeability enveloping the knob. Holes will be depressed at -60o to 120o magnetic and spaced to allow collar to toe coverage.

2.7.2 Spion Kop Project Area

Scout reverse circulation drilling is proposed to test the large interval of altered breccia intersected in drillhole SKDH1 (1 hole for 150 m)and the breccia/volcanic contact along the eastern margin of the Spion Kop intrusive plug (2 holes for 150 m).

2.7.3 Queenslander Project Area

Infill reverse circulation percussion drilling is proposed at the Queenslander North prospect to upgrade the resource status a total of 10 holes for approximately 1000 m. Drill chips will be sampled and logged at 1 m intervals and assayed using the screen fire or BLEG assay methodology for large sample masses to minimize the effect of nuggety gold that is prevalent in the Hamilton Goldfield.

2.7.4 Hamilton Goldfield Lode Structures

Scout reverse circulation percussion drilling is proposed to test the mineralised lode structures at shallow depth at Golden King Savannah (8 holes for 400 m) and the IP chargeability anomalies at Golden Treasure (3 holes for 225 m).

2.7.5 Coleman Project Area

The low temperature quartz associated with elevated gold values and the reported occurrence of epithermal quartz associated with bladed quartz pseudomorphs in the southern section of the Hamilton Goldfield suggested the possibility of undiscovered epithermal systems associated with boiling zones and potential bonanza gold grades. Petrological examination of a suite of rocks from the Coleman prospect has established the existence of low temperature quartz and a possible telescoped epithermal system with limited vertical extent. Rock chip sampling has not established the existence of bonanza grades within the area examined.

Proposed exploration will involve trenching and rock chip sampling to establish the width and gold grade of the system at a number of locations prior to possible scout drilling.
