Spiney....if I recall correctly from the games being played at last AGM, the bulk of the 65%'er UK votes are via their nominee account and in the absence of them directing their nominee manager, these nominee accounts will vote their votes in a block. I may be wrong. But if this is the case, it would not surprise me if this has already been locked down between BoD and the nominee firms in recent face to face meetings....but I am just speculating without any knowledge.

Frankly, the company should be in tune enough with their shareholder base to know if they need to reach out, without having to entertain individual questions from individual shareholders. That said, prior to voting deadline day....if clarity has not been offered one way or the other, I will write and enquire. Not sure whether it should be to DW or ME though. After all, this is technically a Board issue rather than a management issue. If all that fails, both my feet will have no choice to join your one foot!! I suspect that I will not be alone.
