    Well spotted

" ...but this only came about after I learned that the entire Senior Management
Team was intending to resign due to it having no confidence in the Board. In the near two month
period after Archie Fraser’s departure but prior to lodging the meeting request, I was
very active in both appeasing the Senior Management Team and seeking a negotiated
outcome keen as I was (and remain) for the shareholder meeting to be avoided
    • They argue that I involved the Senior Management Team in our action. The fact is, the Senior
Management Team encouraged me to take the action I did, not the other way around
Let me be entirely clear. I did not take this action so as to take control of Optiscan. Rather, I took this
action to take control of Optiscan away from Directors who in my view, by their behaviour, do not
deserve it and should not have it."

This is interesting. Ian Mann looks to have been trying to put out a fire that erupted between SMT and BOD, and in the end had to give up and decided the best course of action was to support the SMT because he didn't like the "behaviour" of the BOD. I'm old enough to recognise when someone is being unfair, fairness is at the core of functional human relationships. Underneath all of this I believe Ian Mann is accusing the BOD of being "unfair" in its dealings with staff. Fairness doesn't always equate with commercial success, but I am a big believer in personal fairness and integrity and despite being a pragmatist I am starting to think that Ian Mann is a man after my own heart. Mann by name and man by nature...
The point about having unqualified directors is also important IMO, even if they are only interim replacements.
