Fulfilling the FIRB condition doesn't bring them any nearer to t-o. What I would like to know about (but accept that the board might not want to reveal their hand) is what efforts the SMR board are making to (a) make Golden raise their offer, or (b) find higher bidders, or (c) make sure shareholders turn the offer down.
I'm not too fussed about whether we get (a), (b) or (c), I just don't want to end up with a pathetic 0.95/share.
