Forgetting for a moment that there could be a counter bid, the other distinct possibility is that RIO will have to raise it's offer to achieve success. It appears that many speculators believe that one of the two outcomes is likely with another $50m in trade today. I'm leaning towards continuing to hold and see what happens. RIO is underpinning my position so why not?
