I understand that under the ASX a company is allowed to issue 15% of its shares without reference to shareholders. I assumed that this is not the case on the FSE and as such ALD must ask us (I must say I feel that's a good move). Regarding the political donations I assume that they feel they can have some influence in PNG/Solomans - not keen to see it used in Australia/UK/Canada. I would prefer it if their political sponsorship got a low profile but can understand why it may be necessary in third world countries.
