Excellent word-smithing Sabine. My concern is that these tunnel projects have a habit of blowing out by many hundreds of millions of dollars by factors like industrial action, serious injury or deaths causing site shutdowns, miscalculations of materials needed and price rises in steel, concrete and labour. It’s not the same as building a haul road, runway or rail line in the middle of the Pilbara. We’re right in the heart of suburbia.

I do remember the award of this contract and was quite excited at the time that this had derisked the company from being in a precarious position. I guess it’s just a thought with all the noise around about us from other companies buying work and losing large amounts of cash. Just reassurance is all I’m after.
