as I think you mentioned previously, a Buyback is OK when and IF, a company simply cannot find a better use for those funds.
that the company is making profits, good cashflow, cannot expand their business any further etc etc.
that ain't Yowie.
I can think of uses for those funds.
try expanding the business for a start.
what about actually spending some money on advertising? like in Australia. What about shipping enough stock to Aust so that the stores don't run out of stock??
if they have got excess cash - what about employing a couple of maybe part-time staff to go around Kmart or wherever, and upgrade and replenish the Yowie stands/planograms etc? Because that very clearly is what Kinder is doing in Aust. Ever since Yow returned to Aust, Kinder has suddenly tripled its displays, and put their product in the best positions.
why does Board listen to a couple of shareholders, even when the Board does not agree with those shareholder views - yet ignores the pleas and comments of the smaller s/h ??
