Interesting board on this one.
We have the I.T/Health Systems guru who is basically running everything, and is the company.
But then we have a gold miner and hotelier, and I am not sure if he is there because he is the chairman's mate, but he seems to have no skills or knowledge or experience in the I.T/Health Systems area - a strange choice.
And then we have the guy who ran his own furniture business, though he did sit on the board of a retirement home not-for-profit organisation. Again, a strange choice for a company in the I.T/Health Systems area.
Quite a bizarre board really (except for the Chairman), for a company working in the I.T/Health Systems area.
I would think that to gain maximum credibility in the United States, after the HealthSouth deal, that they would need some board replacement here, with the appointment of a couple of senior I.T/Health Workflow Systems experts, possibly resident in the USA.
This would go a long way to raising their profile, establishing more cred, enhancing the company reputation, and going forward with the business, especially in the USA.
