Dear Minefield, Gulf, Roquref and others...
It is my belief you are taking action against your best interests if you sell out either before or after the share consolidation. It has been my personal experience over more than 35 years of extensive sharemarket trading that the majority of consolidations prove to be very beneficial to company shareholders.
Consolidations, particularly after a major change in company control by new Directors, create many positives and significantly enhance company futures when these were not previously there with share prices sub-0.5 cents.
It has also been my experience that main objectors of consolidations are speculators who have been trading 0.1 cent increments rather than investors. After all, buying at 0.4 and selling at 0.5 generates a 25% profit.
History also shows that it is much easier for shares to go from $0.30 to $0.40, or from $0.40 to $0.50 than the 0.1 cent incremental jumps when share prices are lower than $.01. Consolidations under new management are usually signals for investors to increase holdings if Directors have decent track records of achievements.
