Hmmm.
I hold both MLX and NST so six of one, half a dozen of another I guess. It shows that both companies have very similar strategies and that the assets of TAM are valuable to a company that can develop them.
I can see clearly that NST is gunning for a 1m oz p.a. run rate and keen to move into the big league.
MLX (I hope) will retire from the field and lick their wounds, looking for another prospective and attractively priced target instead of letting ego's get involved and entering a bidding war. I would have thought that they would have locked the deal down before announcing it however - I'm sure they will have learned from this experience.
