No the response was definitely downbeat. Was it really necessary to reiterate the fact that production in June was expected to be slightly lower than May (I didn't seem to notice the ASX asking for that information, they were asking for reasons as to why the price would be going up)?
Maybe it's just the conspiracy theorist in me but I'm really starting to wonder about some of these announcements. In the May production report, why, when every other company would have been talking up record production as well as a further 18 wells awaiting connection, does our management decide to throw in the fact that production in June will be slightly lower (the share price reacted accordingly ie. went nowhere)? And to now repeat it again for no good reason? I mean surely you just wait until the June report and explain it, anyone who has been on the stock for any length of time would have known what was going on and accepted that.
