"Medical imaging group Capitol Health has gone out swinging after conceding its attempt to buy larger rival Integral Diagnostic for $300 million is over, lashing Integral's conduct during the takeover battle.
"During the course of the offer, the Integral board has sought to damage and discredit Capitol, rather than engaging constructively in discussions," Capitol said in a statement, as it confirmed it would let the 16 per cent of pre-bid acceptances from institutional investors lapse and it would not extend its offer."
