Wow this thread was an interesting read from quite a positive announcement to accusations of misconduct and people getting flamed/trolled. Am I still on hotcopper ? A lot of newbies mixing it up the dynamic perhaps.

People have obviously got their back's up and it does look to have turned into a flame war and/or people being insulted, hence the moderators banning posts. This a finance/share forum and some people are "smart" and some people are "dumb", some people mean one thing and say something else (by mistake or lack of understanding or being lazy). Sometimes they post when they haven't thought about what they are saying because they just want to retaliate. Picking up people who state grossly incorrect things is valid but beating them into submission isn't really anyone's job. If something is against HC rules then a moderators opinion can be sought. It's unfortunate (or possibly a godsend for some) we don't have private messaging on hot copper as I'm sure that a couple of people would have been utilising it vigorously, after reading this thread...hehe.

It does seem that some comments are being used to troll each other (overtly and passive aggressively) and while it may give the poster some satisfaction in "burning" the last commenter or someone who won't admit an error, it doesn't really offer anything to the collective. Some valid info gets lots in the verbiage, sometimes it just pays to step away from the keyboard have a cup of tea (or 8 wines, beers or whiskeys) and think to yourself "what a moron" and let it go... haha

It serves no purpose to get personal here as it leads to threads that are disrupted and hard to follow as content is banned. Try keep it factual, to the point and on topic and less like a gamers forum where it's almost expected of you to troll, flame and humiliate people with cutting wit and mechanical keyboards. It also might save your posts getting banned and/or your account banned (temporarily or permanently).

Be nice to hear more about how the fees are split on the JV and some more information about some projects, but having too much disclosure can be detrimental if things aren't achieved (I can imagine some of the comments now). A lot of info is commercially sensitive, that could cost them if it were disclosed and while it would be nice to know more I understand we can't. Bring on the next quarterly and annual report.

Hopefully the next 4 months to EOFY will bring a lift in SP. Onwards and upwards!!
