so far the realised A$ oil price has fallen from $124 to $84 per barrel. A fall of about $40. Of which around $12 would have to be taken out as royalties savings. Net impact of $28 per barrel. Last year's netback was $79 based on realised oil price of A$124. From my calculation the netback is now down to $60 per barrel. Still a good earner!

Correction. Current netback is $50. But if you look at BPT presentation, they are claiming cost of just $24 per barrel including royalties. Based on BPT's claim, netback would be about $60 per barrel!
