For some weekend reading and viewing a little more on the Las Chispas deposit near Oso Negro.

    Location of Las Chispas:

An article in the Canada's The Northern Miner mentioned some recent spectacular drill results and this prompted me to check Silvercrest's web site and post.

This February 2018 spruiking of the Las Chispas property is an example of what is being found and by extension may be found in the wider area.

What is apparent from the SIlvercrest video is they have had significant exploration success even adjacent to old workings.  Ag/Au grades are impressive to bonanza over mineable widths e.g. around 8Min mark of video.

Oso Negro is a very early stage project in comparison to Las Chispas.  The mining history and production at the latter are significant by comparison with AZS's property so ON is likely to have less shallow potential given previous exploration.  The grades reported by AZS suggest to me there may be similar Au/Ag signatures along significant strike lengths in multiple veins to that found in the surrounding area.  Some Zn/Pb is also present which is one obvious difference.

In Mexican (and global) terms these deposits (Santa Elena, Las Chispas, Mercedes) are small by comparison with the main Silver Camps (Grand dad = Cerro de Potosi (Bolivia), Mexico - Guanajuato, San Luis de Potosi, Zacatecas etc), that funded the Spanish empire.  Would be good if even such a "minnow" as ON ends up being landed by AZS.
