To suggest that the FGE downfall was partly the fault of the mining tax or the carbon tax is drawing a very long bow. In my opinion it was completely and utterly the case of management asleep at the wheel. I am not going to go into the fact that this may have been deliberate but everyone can draw their own conclusions. I have held FGE for years, and anyone who didn't turn up in the last five minutes knows exactly what I am talking about.
