I agree at the moment they (and to a lesser extent we) need all the geological interpretation we can get. 
The announcement throws out a  whole range of very possible outcomes but is limited to the bounds of the work actually done. One thing I can say its it's all in longer term holders favour.  Equally it explains why the ASX were not prepared to allow an interpretation of any more as resource as they did. it was like tossing darts at a dart board.  What we can say is the decision to try an unlock/ interpret  the geological controls of the mineralisation rather than attempting resource drill was a good and cost effective one.
