I have just had the chance to examine the report. Being aircore drilling 'at 100ms intervals along 300-400m-spaced traverses' I did not expect anything special.
The Jorc Table info near the bottom of page 12 adds weight as to why I did not expect much, and being:
"AC drilling is usually undertaken to define anomalous patterns (akin to soil sampling beneath regolith cover)………..As such, the orientation of geological structures is usually not known at the time of drilling."
Although the readings are not anything but of an anomalous character, they are important in that they reveal more near-surface copper and gold in this general area.
Big Billy South had some interesting gold readings near the surface - 4ms @1.63 g/t (AC165) from 24ms and 8ms @ 1.02g/t (AC161) from 20ms.
That will do for now. I'll post again later after reading the report again.
I also wish to research the mystery historical hole reported in the 16/11 ann at Forrest - 9ms @ 5.8%cu starting at 78ms from surface down-hole. Lack of time, and not lack of interest, (if anyone is wondering) has prevented me from researching that hole's history and reporting as a result.
I'm still a believer in this area!!
