I am not sure I would agree EGA has low reserves - the current MRE is sitting at 401K oz of which 246K oz is in the indicated category. This is before we add in the recent drill results which I have a feeling will push the MRE up to near 500K oz. Not a bad sized resource.
We should also not forget that Rothsay is still open at depth.
The current mine life is 6.5 years, but this is before the new drilling results are added. We should see at least another year added to the mine life (maybe two). There is also the other shears to explore which could get the mine life up over 10 years. I suspect that they will still be mining gold at Rothsay in 2030.
I agree the liquidity is an issue and more generally a lack of market interest. EGA is certainly not a BGL. Not sure what can be done about this other than get Tolga on board
Not every gold company has to be trying to be the next NST. More than a one or two gold companies have come unstuck in recent years trying to grow too rapidly. If EGA's management makes a success of Rothsay then other opportunities may come along, but I would like them to focus 100% on getting Rothsay right. So far so good except on the promotion side.
