I see that Global Value Fund has bought a fair sized holding at an average 27% discount to NTA.
Geoff Wilson is a director of GVF.
Given his interest in taking over as investment manager of BAF, I would imagine he and GVF would be all over BAF's NTA.
Geoff gave BAF as his 'big' investment tip on 28 November.
BAF's interest in Thrive would be pretty small, student accommodation much bigger. BAF pulled the plug on some planned developments, so it may have been that and a softening in the market for that type of accommodation which caused Brookfield to walk away from joining up with BLA on that.
All in all, I am not concerned.
