i bought this late june at $129 and it has done well so far although was flat through last month.
i think it is a no brainer of a way to buy into global healthcare stocks, almost all of which are outside australia. it gives a nice mix of pharma and biotechs etc and captures the major european as well as american companies.
short term performance is fairly irrelevant even though its been good, this should be a longterm buy and will undoubtedly do well over the next 5-10 years with the ageing population and longer life expectancies.
a great way to diversify ones portfolio as it is both safe (some short term volatility) even in a downward market and will grow well in nav longterm and pays a small dividend to sweeten the overall capital gain.
unless you want to invest in specific individual nyse/ euro healthcare stocks, this is a must have in my opinion.
i only bought $5k as part of my overall 40k portfolio, but will look to accumulate more over the next couple of years assuming no major headwinds. the only thing that worries me is the overpriced us stockmarket, but even if it correfts sharply i dont think healthcare will be massively hit, even with us presidential candidates talking tough about reducing healthcare costs.
    good luck all.
