Good points, and I'll be interested to see when the buyers return, this afternoon by the look of it! ALF should rise if their shorts are vindicated, which i think they are now!

I am fairy new to the market, after failing dismally five years ago during the gfc and losing alot of money trying to buy small caps. It was a stressful time for me.

Now, i have finally paid off my house debt, and am ready to build my future with some solid dividend paying LICs. I don't have time to research every stock, so LICs are best for me.

So far i have equal amounts of ALF CTN and CDM, all paying good dividends. I'd like to add one or two more to balance the portfolio, and was tossing up WAM or WAX. WAX is only a 3pc premium, and WAM closer to 10pc premium, similar dividends.

Does anyone have opinions about WAX or WAM or other to compliment ALF?
