their was a meeting onsite at derewo on Friday, no doubt a few corrupt local officials who wanted a joy ride and a free feed attended but apparently their was some other fellows from Jakarta I think, that may succeed where our local partner has failed so far, and that is to rid the site of illegals. the gov't knows they won't ever get meaningful foreign investment until they tackle corruption that inhibits mining projects.
