I am not concerned with DCN's ability to repay the debt. The point I am making about the debt is that its being serviced/repaid from the operating surplus generated while DCN is a 180-200k ounce pa producer and since that period (from memory) is around 4 years based on the official LOM, there is limited surplus for shareholders, unless (as we all hope) they extend the higher operating capacity to at least 8 years, and perhaps longer.

I dunno why but the gold price has gone back up to USD1255 - perhaps its to do with what is going on in Europe - the US markets open much later.
