Hey Grace, I am 19 and have been in the stock market a little over a year now(I have paid for all my shares), I would recommend getting your daughter involved in the stock market just so she understands there is potential to build wealth in other ways than just working the ordinary job.  I was turned onto SGQ by my dad as well as a couple other stocks,  I have now branched out into other stocks besides what he has recommended and we often have discussions on the state of where certain stocks are going and what we have holdings in each.
