I had that same thought, it's no coincidence. Inevitably his actions will ramp the stock too high to be sustained. But he is a self-fulfilling prophecy, if he buys, hundreds follow. It' herding by the clueless speculators that push the price so high. He also ramps the shed out of it on twitter. Don't know how it is legal really.
There is something there for sure, but so far they have 80m of strike from two shallow RC holes. The announcement implies it's a guaranteed 1.1km strike min, with 1mill oz resource potential. Time will tell.
