The annoying one for me is the super profits tax, and how it really seems badly worded / planned. I will wait for it to become law (requires Kabila) or modified then get a copy of the new code and apply it to my financial models and post the results of economics at today's prices and higher prices.

All this comes with the territory, and if you are nervous you need to assess whether investing in the DRC is for you.

If only we could mine it underground by tunnelling from Australia to DRC. Will have to consult with my 4 year old son, he seems to have more sense than most governments.

Agree, this needs to be explained much further... Its way too simplistic work off BFS figures.

Does Julia Guillard call the shots in the DRC mining industry? Sure seems like it.
