Its also worth looking at the volume data versus buyback data recently:

It doesn't look like (to me) buyback is causing the recent price rise. There are lot of people in the market and since the price is rising there must be more buyers than sellers. Perhaps its the approaching dividend ex-date or perhaps the big holders are accumulating.
