I cant say what the logo actually meant to represent but if you use your imagination it looks like a big circle enclosing on and encompassing a smaller circle. Big circle (banked) bringing in the smaller circle (unbanked) into it and encompassing it, thereby making it one and reaching globally possibly.
The aesthetics looks too me from the screen shots of adding the country flags of the recipient country.? Nice touch. Also the buttons/functions look simpler
