I disagree entirely, off the top of my head:
- tournament pay to play
- Advanced placement fee or preferential tournament queuing.
- tournament pot rake
- move into the online gambling "dueling" space (team v team for cash with side bets)
- membership fee with private content, tournaments and make cross over with physical tournaments for advanced placement or VIP ticketing for premium seating/boxes.
- in lobby/in game advertising
- tournament physical adverstising
- sales of user data and metadata
- contract for support with major telco/games provider
- development of tournament software IP and sell as SaaS.
- Teams paying us to promote them.
I mean i'm not even in the industry and monetising this should be simple.
