Sample preparation includes all of the steps taken in the laboratory to render a sample into a form that is suitable for chemical analysis.
It results in sub-samples that are representative of the total sample.
It involves pre-preparation processing, sorting, crushing and pulverizing, logging, boxing, weighing samples etc.
Much less of the cores need to be shipped.
It reduces costs to MOD/MTR and reduces time at the processing lab.
Faster turnaround, cheaper costs, better control and I hope a possible early indication of the likely results... as well as involving employment from the local community.
There are many benefits...
Good PR, time and cost management.
Saves time/cost sending known dusters for assay.
A helpful early indication of where to direct drilling too as earlier feedback to MOD.
It's good news for shareholders but it takes time to train the staff to ensure rigorous procedures are followed.
