The investment case here seems pretty slight forward though.
Facial recognition technology to detect pain in patients who cannot speak.
Looks like two versions of the app are being developed, one for elderly people with dementia who find it difficult to communicate with medical staff, and the second for young children who have not yet learnt to speak.
They claim to be the first company who are able to analyse the presence of facial cues for pain using a smart device and undertaking that analysis in real time.
App was a finalist earlier this year in the OzAPP awards for start-ups in the Asia-Pacific region.
Looks like some local WA investors have been backing / seeding this company as far back as August last year. Always a good sign.

The video above suggests to me that from a business strategy point of view, they are placing more focus on infants than the elderly as the revenue opportunity is much greater both nationally and internationally.
