Those who have held long term have done so thru some obviously frustrating times and yet had the vision and belief to continue holding even though they could have bailed out much earlier at a decent profit ....... so yeah I think it holds some relevance. Do they have more right to an opinion , NO , but then again I haven't ever felt that anyone here is placing their own opinion above all others , most are reasonable and listen to all points of view and occasionally challenge a statement and lets face it some of the statements made here NEED challenging.
And then there are always the sheetstirrers who just want to be contrary no matter whats being said.
