Please check out - true end usage of Nickel -
**The vast majority of global nickel demand ~ 79% , is for
stainless steel , galvanising .
Recycling provides a small component- and will be more significant , not until out beyond a decade -then recycling of nickel from old EV batteries will be significant.
Battery use ( yes - required is very high quality nickel sulphide and the purity is absolutely tantamount )
*But - use for nickel in batteries , including EVs~ sits at only
3% of total nickel demand at present .
So - Yes - EV battery and battery Minerals demand - pertaining to Nickel - is a
big story - with exponential increases in demand , year on year .. of ~ 30% . For nickel as a battery mineral , demand streaming on , is coming from large demand increases from EVs .
*But - only starting at a
small percentage of
overall Nickel global usage , currently.
****Nickel demand for
stainless steel ! ( and also yes - Scandium I believe in
—yes agree , as the Sc. supply chain & standardising production is guaranteed- scandium application into
aluminium will accelerate!
)
Further therefore I believe -
* * Yes - that Axiom , AVQ & Isabel Projects in the SI - will have a very wonderful , highly bright future - out into the foreseeable decades . Greatly
complimented with
Scandium content extraction downstream in future years , buyers likely would seek to secure this now though? And sooner , more especially
now -
Cobalt credits .
*Cobalt - Starting at 1:10 is the ideal staple quantity of cobalt within Nickel Laterite DSO ore - and is already highly sought .
Will be - Increasingly so - as the years .. roll on
** NOTE MAINLY -
Nickel usage , in
Stainless steel , even additional nickel density into
steel , and better workings so aluminium bodywork can be better joined and even repaired - when greater nickel percentage , soldering also ? -
This Nickel - demand is very significant
RIGHT NOW !
**** Into the next years/ out through the next decade - Stainless steel , steel & even aluminium and galvanising usage - of Nickel - is
larger than EV battery nickel demand . ( though EV demand is also putting a rocket under the nickel price and demand overall )
** Nickel increase in demand for use into stainless steel / steel / galvinising ( **from Nickel Laterite ores -sourced mainly from Indonesia , which is still the largest ) -
*and crucially now for Isabel - the Solomon Islands- because Laterite nickel deposits there have still not previously been accessed-
This needs to be started
Now, - to commence to come online. San Jorge & Isabel Nickel has good economics for into the global demand equation , which is mainly Asia nearby .
Isabel Nickel projects , especially San Jorge- ( now commencing to mine ) - is shallow , has good grades , and is accessible for offtake , near to good sea access areas .
Nickel demand for stainless steel , most importantly - is increasing at average 5- 5.5 % per year — year on year right through the coming decade , and into 2030s !!
**** Nickel increased demand — & ALL from nickel laterite sources , increased by over 8% in the first quarter of this year - alone !
I love the evolution of technologies and how battery minerals have risen up as much as anybody .
However- is important to comprehend- that concerns over Nickel sulphide supply outlook - are not as much of an issue as investors possibly perceive .
( and - I am a St George and WSA etal believer very much also ! Rain going up into those parts today , Kalgoorlie and western goldfields included - I even watch the weather - over holdings I monitor - WA , Central & Northern NSW ,Tassie , and NW WA .
And more I watch - the overall systems and occurences in the Solomon Islands, PNG , and nearby politics . Sorry I diverged topic !)
** Axiom I hold more - than all these others .
I think you will be able to perceive why .
(You won’t be getting Twitter updates from this company, management are flatout - working . )
And the Top 20– 40+ ? AVQ - Have increased , stayed resilient- more than any other stock I own .
(Hence possibly the downramping here - the only target for loosening shares , reversing positions - can be attempted from the large number of private owners , rather than corporate entities & key stakeholders who have been in for years , all bought in above 30c . )
Though shareholders been loyal , no one of course been happy by how disrupted things have been in the SI . Angry also - very much so .
Shareprice knocked down to appalling level for what is held , and going into nearterm production .
Corruption and vested interests of individuals within the SI - needed to be combed out .
*Better laws and good systems now in place - and many countries are re-newing relationships with the SI again.

Check out the London LME video if you have not - it is very useful .
You’ll hear a totally measured , without hysteria, analysis of
Nickel Commodity Outlook .
The market end- users are watching and organising supply security , well out into the foreseeable decades ahead -as they always are
Metallurgy is far from my field, but I have always enjoyed commodities .
I think primary production is the backbone start for emerging nations , then further local industries ; as it is here in Australia, including our prime agricultural products .
FYI : ( sorry this has been posted before - worth another look ). BOL .
