Hope can be better ,higher integrity and outcomes- for mining , and developments , in the SI into the future . As very much needed .

Wish all all the best - really don’t want wish anything less for anyone .

Very glad though if ‘sham’ other interests , or entities seeking to operate in the Solomon Islands - can be understood . Known .

Want so much for the people in the SI to have good progress . Honesty & truth paramount . Especially for foreign or Australian companies going in - reputation- want ethical and legal operations only .

The deputy PM - spoke on Tuesday - on how the SI is it’s own worst enemy, within itself only now. Still dissent , dishonesty, and stirring at level of individuals , a key detriment to the Solomon Islands progressing forward in the last years - at National level and regionally.
Obviously the corruption within Govt departments and even within government ministry - now well known . The Govt voted itself down this time last year - and reformed , brought in tough anti - corruption laws now .

The Acting Prime minister- speaking to Japanese naval representatives - enroute back from mutual exercise with Aust ADF & regional - Sth pacific nations-
Made reference to how - the Solomon Islands is a very safe country and grateful increasingly to friends , Japan , most especially Australia- significant loyal support . Much progress as result. Pride internationally resulted .

But that - within the SI - is still unhelpful dissent - between peoples .
This needed to be seen as malproductive to the advancement of the SI . Ongoing mending and working cooperatively, solve petty differences - seen as most important .

The PM - whilst proud as SI are of how the Solomons now advancing in world at last again .
Said what was most needed was more , increasing - **national pride - pride within , at home in the Solomon Islands **.

Unethical. Or less than reputable companies- operating or seeking to operate in the SI - is not good for nation .
And not good for how - now - legal , ethical - companies that have long worked hard - re- trying get going - Axiom successful , but others more - Metallica also gradually, tourism entities. Much that needed .

Much local dissent - been inflamed and bad taste engendered - by ill-will stirring of many varied entities , who entered into the vacuum in the Solomons after enormous time of civil strife .

I hope Australians can become more aware of our near , close neighbour - and the significant sacrifices that have been made there by us !
Enormous assistance direct and real - included .

This story - is grossly saddening - in light of the huge contributions - by Australia and Australians in official ongoing and also voluntary capacity with respected organisations sanctioned by both governments ;
Who have followed and helped establish clear international systems and laws - and worked within , and very sympathetically with the people.

Always in work life-the main thing said , in any industry or field —
Is that it’s the “cowboys” , who try to roll straight in - setup and take advantage of a profit chance as they perceive it.
They give everyone a bad name , or this what is feared , no one wants sullying of overall good , and huge work of others , upholding good standards and care .

Everyone who working for good of all , and slowly and carefully establishing , generally employing good local ethical leaders & operating within the law & with clear empathetic goal for local landowners too - disillusioned, but most rise above negativity .
Is highly abhorrent to see .
Goodwill takes so long to grow, for people to get to know one another and build longterm trust.
Shortterm View is hopeless .

Anyway - the last thing needed is scurrilous, unqualified individuals - in there , and seeking to gain quick outcomes
