First Au Limited (ASX: FAU) wishes to advise that it recently submitted a Mining Lease application over the Gimlet Mineralised Zone. A granted Mining Lease is part of the requirement under the Mining Act 1978 (WA)for any future potential mining to occur at the Gimlet Project. This application was submitted around the same time as the recent successful RC and diamond drilling program (see ASX announcement dated 18 March 2018), which identified significant lode gold mineralisation. The Mining Lease application area is outlined in Figure 1. The Board of FAU believe that drilling results to date justify putting such an application in place now, as the company further develops the Project.With diamond drilling now completed, geological studies have begun on the core, which will then be followed by preliminary metallurgical and geotechnical studies. Work will also commence in determining if a JORC 2012 Mineral Resource can be suitably estimated from the existing dataset. Exploration continues elsewhere in the Mining Lease Application, with a soil program just completed on the ground south of the previouslyidentified “Eastern Shear Zone” (see ASX announcement “Independent Geologists Report”, dated 6 April2018), with samples now submitted for assay.

I am going to assume that the date they submitted the application was 18 March 2019 and not 2018.
Just awaiting a return call to clarify that.
