re: Ann: Meridian receives AU$5M from Northwe... Check the announcement on July 13th. To me that says that the Indians have agreed to the deal provided they are issued with 15 million new shares and 1.5million in cash.
The headline to this announcement is "Meridian sign significant BINDING agreement with Binani to facilitate sale of Lennard shelf."
ASX announcement on takeover offer says that Meridian Directors did not ask Binani Director due to 13th July released announcement.
In other words, they consider it a done deal
We will get 14 cents, no more. The Independent report will say its a fair deal as Directors have recommended. This report will also consider the downside of the offer being rejected. i.e. halving the value of shares imho.
