Yes the reflux classifier plant is used at BHP spin off South 32 on Groote Eylandt I believe. It is a very resourceful and efficient process. The waste stockpiles will need to be crushed down to 2mm sizing to allow proper separation. While the waste sitting in the tailing dams can enter straight into the plant as it's already correct size.

The financials stack up very well on first glimpse. However without a correct feasibility study carried out there are several major risks. I cover the major 2 from my information. I believe the power plant used to energise the workers village, crushing plant and existing process plant is somewhere close to capacity already and it's very concerning if it has the caperbility to power such extra demand.

The second point is water supply. I understand the current rain water harvested during the wet season and current bores in place only provides a minor surplus of water each year. Now the reflux classifier plant is extremely heavy in water usage and it's extremely doubtful the currently water supply is satisfactory to operate such equipment.
