re: Ann: MDA and accounts for the period ende... I hold neither AVO nor DIO, only have a passing interest in the current activity between the two because the bulk of my holdings are in other goldies

few queries / comments

1 - the MDA does not appear to mention at all the pit wall failures - surely this cannot be right?

2 - my understand was that AVO has less debt than DIO (with respect to the comparative size of the two companies)

3 - as emphasised by KPMG in their ASIC responses, any third party takeover of DIO would need to get over AVO's current shareholding - i would realistically see the DIO sp settling somewhere between the current price (70c) and the pre-bid price if it doesn't get across the line

4 - no one is arguing over the AVO bid beingopportunistic (all takeovers are)

its been fun watching this one play out after watching regis.. wonder what goldie will become a target next?
