As part of the audit the auditor partner would have asked the senior management team at CCV about this contingent exposure. If the intention was to settle an estimate of those costs should have been accrued for in the last accounts. The expense would have been incurred in the 2018 accounts and not when the settlement payments are made in 2019. The should have happened for both class actions.
