To be honest I was expecting news on the long promised Cooroorah underground study by JT Boyd rather than an exploration target statement for Hillalong.

For Hillalong, presumably the open cut "in-situ" strip ratio cut-offs considered are "cookie cutter" ratios i.e. vertical and without endwall, lowwall and highwall batters.  They are also presumably not ROM strip ratios (taking into account mineable/ recoverable seams, coal loss etc).  It would be interesting to see the expected potential AVERAGE in-situ strip ratio for coal target up to the cut-off for the exploration target.

For comparison, from the QLD government statistics, AVERAGE active mine ROM strip ratio (i.e. average for all the tonnage produced in the given FY for the current strip/s and not necessarily reflective of cut-off) have trended as follows (noting that Hillalong is in the Northern district which predominantly produces coking coal from generically thicker seams (typically Moranbahs) at higher yields for around 86% of the ROM t annually produced from the district):
