In isolation, the Roots technology does seem to produce good results. But I suspect that its practical value is likely to prove minimal because the piping will probably have to be repaired or replaced and then relaid after every cropping cycle. Too expensive.
With hydroponic horticulture, temperature control of the nutrient solution would presumably have benefits, but Roots seem to be focusing on soil-based horticulture. I don't know if RotoGro (or Gibio) have looked into this, but it would be difficult (though perhaps not impossible) to apply to the water bath system that they use.
