This is a good example of why carat value and not grade per 100 tons makes all the difference on if a mining operation will be profitable.
I can not find a company listed on the ASX that is selling diamonds for over $100.00 a carat other than one company I know of that sells them for a current average of $2,500.00 a carat with the bottom being just over $400.00 a carat for the smalls.
To many dreamers out there that think they can make money out of minute diamonds selling at very low prices even tho the grade is high they still can't or will make a profit on such mines.
