I have seen this kind of play before on RPF: the seller @ 5.4c is for a big total of $459 (not worth the brokerage to buy). It tries to bring the price down so others follow, and then buys up at low prices. Looking at market depth, it doesn't seem that most holders are rushing for the exits:
