Found some old historical numbers in an old geology book on Bawdwin and in the 20-30s the production numbers were very impressive.
In 1939-1949 they produced around 12 million ounces of refined silver - well over $200m in today’s dollars and they received well over a million pounds back in those days over that twelve month period. Baw Dwin literally means silver mine in Burmese.
