It is incorrect to say that Scoping Studies cannot be based on Inferred Resources. There are listing rule allowances on page 7 of the Nov 2016 ASX interim guidance for reporting Scoping Studies, which outlines the cautionary statements required for a Scoping Study based solely on Inferred Resource. Also refer to item 38 of 2012 JORC. It is correct to say that Scoping Study is not allowed to be based solely or in combination with exploration targets. There are statements required if a SS is going to be based solely on an Inferred Resource. These statements require, amongst other items, the factors leading to the entity believing it has a reasonable basis for reporting a production target based solely on Inferred Resources. No doubt these are being examined by the ASX for "reasonableness".
