Quid Pro Quo Michael and kudos for the respectful reply.
BTW I didn't think it was a waste of time to look at some of past posts ... IMS was a random selection ... but I thought it encapsulated what you're suggesting may (or may not) happy here. It was directed more at the question that is so often put to a poster who does not drink the cool-aid and questions the performance of the company on the results and disclosures put forth by them . Too often the motives or purpose of the poster is questioned even though the data is the real data and not made up. Ergo if that becomes fair game so too the motive/purpose of the promoter. Whether or not my guess at IMS was right or wrong is irrelevant ... it puts a question mark over motive.
So moving off that issue (with you at least) and back to FPL. You may be right or wrong or even both. FPL has lost squillions ... it's in Japanese in the balance sheet. That is their "honor roll". Again moving right along it is possible that they will now make squillions developing Pathfinder with a just a few more zillions in capital needed to be invested. Don't deny it is possible just I find it to be improbable. I don't know how well you know the US E&P business and if you do great then you would know all about the issues such as location for one. If you don't then you it is the purest form of speculation and good fortune with your trading skills.
To respond directly to the "(& I suspect you know this is right), that the tide is turning for FPL" I emphatically disagree. If FPL addressed the issues (even simple things like getting filings with COGCC up to date and announcements that correlate) and transparent financial reporting (simple things like total Qtrly production by product line, average selling price received, full LOE reporting, actual capital cost spent for wells that are TILed) then I would say so. You could then meaningfully interpret what the future earnings may be and risk-value the company accordingly. So far all I see is more of the same.
As long as the discussion is open and honest, we can record our differences and maybe benefit others.
