re: Ann: TRF: Manganese Potential at Wilcherr... Petunia we are all crossing our fingers all will go well, however when I see producing iron ore companies like GBG at
long time lows of 12c, MGX at 48c, AGO at 76.5c then IFE will struggle more so.

I said the iron ore price outlook needs to be higher and it is just not happening, and even if we were producing, I would be worried because these other iron ore producers are also getting hammered. I still think we are at the bottom and a new cycle will start with China soon.

I am not sure on how the pricing on manganese works because I saw an article that had it at $5.90 per 1% Mn. So if you produce say 38% you should get $224. Then I saw BHP selling at $595 per tonne. Then I found $2.5 per kilo or $2,500 per tonne on price chart. It seems confusing.

So it must be on quality etc to get the right price and if anyone can help here it would be great.

What I do understand is it is in more demand than iron ore at the moment, and it appears more profitable than iron ore. Will we have enough to make it economical is the question, but I would hope that these grades are a good start.

I was only talking in general with Robert, but manganese can be a very profitable product and it should reduce the strip cost of getting the iron ore out of the ground as well.
